Free Stuff

Post  texpops on Tue Aug 30, 2011 4:05 pm

The folks who are getting free stuff,
Don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff.
Because the folks who are paying for the free stuff, Can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff, Want the free stuff to stop.
And the folks who are getting the free stuff, Want even MORE free stuff on top of the free stuff they're getting already.

Now, the people who are forcing people to PAY for the free stuff, Have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced and racist.

So, the people who are GETTING the free stuff, have been convinced they need to HATE the people who are PAYING for the free stuff because they are selfish.
And they are promised more free stuff if they will vote for the people who force the people who pay for the free stuff to give them even more free stuff.

And -- when the free stuff stops , the folks receiving the free stuff will riot, burn, steal and commit mayhem.
For the "rich" owes them! It is happening in England and coming here soon.

And that's the Straight Stuff! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

the rite up is good and in most cases its true , the people who have made a habit of doing nothing but jumping on welfare as soon as there old enought , and were raised on welfare , or all the illegels were supporting , not just mexicans , but it ends there from what i see going on in this country , there are so many people that have fell trhu the cracks do to there jobs being shipped across the pond , i think we need to open up the flood gates in d.c. and lend a hand tell something can be done to stop the bleeding of jobs from this country , and turn this mess around and bring these jobs back home , so i understand what your saying pops , but i think it should be done when people are suffering and need a lift up , what do we have now , maybe 15 million either with out a job , or under employed , scratch

I've never really understood the argument about "jobs being shipped overseas". If you are talking about manufacturing jobs, we have lost more "manufacturing jobs " to automation than to anything else. If a person has a job that can be done by a machine (and machines are getting better and smarter every day), then he better figure out how to make money fixing those machines when they break or some other line of work, because another man is not going to pay someone to stand there all day and put something together when he can buy a machine that will do the job 5 times as fast, never take a break, never call in sick, never go on strike, and cost 1/10th as much in the long run.
You say D.C. needs to "open the floodgates" till folks get on their feet. By that, I guess you mean borrow more money from the Chinese, because we are broke. We can print more worthless dollars to hand out until everybody is a millionaire, but if a loaf of bread then costs 1000 bucks, what have you gained? Talk to the folks that are on a fixed income about the cost of food going up. Their income has stayed the same, but it costs more and more every time they go to the store and they really don't have a choice but to either eat less or find some means of additional income. When a government borrows or prints money, that currency becomes worth less and less.
The states that have the lowest taxes are making the most jobs and folks are voting with their feet, as they have throughout history. Folks move to where the jobs are, or they starve. The unemployment rate in Texas is around 7% statewide and about 6% here in the Metroplex. I could get a different job with one phone call. North Dakota has a 3% unemployment rate and they are NEEDING folks to work.

What DC needs to do is get the hell out of the way and quit trying to punish the producers. Leave us the hell alone, quit making new regulations and rescind a lot of the old ones and watch this country go back to work.

Bill, the article you quote is from 2005, 6 yrs ago. Obama hasn't changed a thing except making MORE regulations. And that's exactly part of what I'm talking about--government regulations getting in the way of job creation.

Where is your grand-daughter looking for a job? The papers here are full of ads looking for computer people.
