Hey, guys,

Just a quick update...... Went in for my first follow up at the burn unit the other day, everything is healing nicely. My shoulder, ribs, chest and back are still killing me, but I do feel like I an getting better, slowly. I know this is gonna be a long road, but I want it over soon. Right now I cannot do much of anything for myself, other than go to the crapper and feed myself some soft foods.

I need to, and am slowly working on cutting back on the pain meds, I think they are killing my appetite, nothing sounds or tastes good right now. I am also trying to get out and walk a little bit each day, last evening I over did it a little and just felt like crap at supper, we went out with Indie's Dad and my mom and step dad. I wasn't very good company, but they were all understanding.

We started stripping some of the aftermarket items off of my bike yesterday, and it really isn't hurt as bad as I thought it was from the pics. I am still hoping they total it just because I will always have this incident in the back of my mind and it WILL affect my riding, hoping it won't with another bike though. I am not scared to ride, just a little nervous to ride that bike. I had been having handling issues with it for some time and the white one rides so much better.

Glad to here you are healing - AMEN!

Keep moving and get off the meds? YUP

Take your time with the bike, just make sure you are riding before Labor Day..... I completely understand how you feel. After I got my VTX back in 2008 - I never trusted it. My ass puckered the seat the whole time I was on it and it was not enjoyable.

I'll try to get up to see you sometime.

Yep, those pain killers will lock you up so make sure you drink a lot of water. Might have to use a laxitive or eat some prunes.

Water is flowing freely, can't do prunes affraid and I am trying to avoid the laxatives if at all possible. I really don't feel plugged up yet because I am still not eating very well. If my intake goes up and my output doesn't, then I will start to worry.

Glad you are doing better ... listen to what the doctors say so you don't lengthen the healing time.

Yesterday was actually another pretty good day and today has started out promising. thumbup

The last two days I have actually taken about a an 8 block walk. Today I am gonna try to add a shower to the top of that list.
